my favorite USB software – SmarThumb my.mail

I travel frequently and have found it difficult to stay in touch with my email.  With SmarThumb my.mail, I don’t have to worry anymore… most people use Outlook Express or Microsoft Outlook for their office mail, and web base mail like Gmail or Yahoo for their personal emails.

I used to be one of these people – the problem with using Outlook Express is that all my mail were downloaded into the PC and all my email addresses were kept in that PC so when I went home, I couldn’t reply any e-mail. And with Yahoo mail, it was rather slow as I had to be online and each mail had to be replied one by one.

Then I started using SmarThumb my.mail – and it is portable as the software is downloaded to my external USB hard disk (40GB) and I carry all my last 5 years’ mail with me (about 6GB)…. virtually email on the move. I can open up to 20 email accounts and with one click of the button, download all the mail at one go – and best of all, with a preview page, I could delete all the spam mail from the server without downloading at all. If there is a particular mail which I want to read, I can just download that
mail without having to wait for everything to be downloaded.

Now I can answer mail offline too, especially my Gmail and Yahoo – I just need to go and download into my external hard disk, go on the plane or to the hotel room, answer all my mail – run back downstairs to a cybercafe or the hotel business centre, upload and send off all my mail – and download the next batch. It is definitely a much faster way of going through my mail.

One more big advantage of using SmarThumb my.mail – I get to carry all my email addresses with me and all my email accounts share one address book instead of having a Gmail address book, a Yahoo address book, etc.

Furthermore, when emails come in, they are immediately sorted out into their own email accounts instead of one large In-box. So it is easy to work – you can choose to answer your office mail first before going to your Gmail or Yahoo mail box. Each email account has their own Inbox, Outbox, Sent and Trash – plus you can create more folders – I have over 40 folders in one account – making it easy for me to manage my e-mail – I try to keep my In-box as clean as possible to allow the fastest loading of my email….
